Sovereign AI Infrastructure
for Litigation Firms.

We design, implement, and document AI governance systems that satisfy clients, insurers, and courts. By "sovereign AI," we mean AI that runs in your own cloud under your firm’s control, not in a vendor’s shared SaaS environment. Every engagement leaves your firm with technology, documentation, and evidence you own.

How We Work

Every engagement follows a proven implementation methodology. The scope changes, but the governance discipline remains the same.

1

Assess

Understand your firm's current AI tools, workflows, and governance risks.

2

Design

Define governance policies, controls, verification procedures, and responsibilities.

3

Deploy

Implement approved AI infrastructure inside your firm's environment.

4

Train

Enable attorneys to use AI responsibly with operational, workflow-focused training.

5

Document

Produce governance artifacts, implementation records, and audit-ready evidence.

6

Govern

Support continuous oversight, maturity reviews, and ongoing governance improvement.

All tracks are flat fee and one-time. No per-seat licenses. No ongoing payments to Rule26 AI.

These tracks focus on infrastructure and deployment. Governance workshops and leadership training are described on the Training page. Tracks include targeted training to operate the deployment; broader leadership governance workshops are available separately.

Why Our Approach Is Different

Most AI consulting focuses on selecting technology. We focus on governing how technology is used.

"AI accelerates drafting. Independent verification is designed to reduce the risk."

Independent Verification

Independent Verification

AI-generated citations, authorities, and outputs are designed to be checked using independent systems before work leaves your firm. By "deterministic," we mean rule-based checks that run the same way every time.

Privacy First

Privacy First

Sensitive information is protected through redaction and controlled infrastructure designed for legal practice.

Governance by Design

Governance by Design

Policies, workflows, and technical controls are implemented together, not added afterward.

Audit Evidence

Audit Evidence

Every engagement produces governance artifacts, documentation, and evidence your firm owns.

Open Infrastructure

Open Infrastructure

Whenever possible, we build on open technologies so your firm retains control instead of becoming dependent on proprietary platforms.

We don't measure success by AI adoption. We measure it by governed, defensible AI use.

Engagements Typically Include

Regardless of engagement size, every Rule26 project produces documented governance work that remains with your firm after implementation.

Documentation

Governance Documentation

Policies, procedures, implementation records, and governance artifacts tailored to your firm.

Technical Controls

Technical Controls

Configured AI systems, verification workflows, and security controls appropriate for legal practice.

Client Adoption

Operational Enablement

Workflows, onboarding, and practical guidance that help your team adopt AI consistently and responsibly.

Audit Readiness

Implementation Evidence

Documentation demonstrating what was implemented, how it works, and how governance decisions were made.

Executive Reporting

Leadership Briefing

A concise executive summary of findings, recommendations, implementation status, and next steps.

Long-Term Value

You Own the Outcome

Your firm retains the governance documentation, implementation artifacts, and supporting evidence we produce, without dependence on proprietary consulting platforms.

Our objective is to leave every client with stronger governance, not greater dependence on us.

What is included in each track

Open-source Legal AI Workspace, Basic
  • Presidio redaction of client names and identifiers before any external API call
  • GhostCite deterministic citation checks against the court record to support verification
  • Shadow AI inventory, AI use policy, training to put that policy into practice, and governance playbooks
  • Built from production-ready components tailored to your perimeter, not a rented SaaS platform

Implementation: customized to your repositories, identity, and guardrails. Typical timeline is 6–8 weeks from signed SOW to first production matters.

Open-source Legal AI Workspace, Professional
  • Everything in the Basic track
  • ICME Preflight policy-as-code enforcement at the API layer
  • Tamper-evident local audit logs
  • Zero-knowledge compliance receipts for client, insurer, or regulator audits

Implementation: 6–8 weeks from signed SOW. Available as a $10,000–$14,000 upgrade from Basic within 12 months. Built with our research partner, ICME Labs.

Security and perimeter: we retain an expert cybersecurity firm for perimeter design, hardening, and independent penetration testing, and supervise architecture and vendor management to support a legal-grade deployment designed for litigation practice.

Every engagement follows a structured sequence:

  • Discovery and AI governance design, including how your lawyers currently draft, research, and run citation checks
  • Architecture and connector design, including any MCP plugins
  • Security perimeter implementation with independent testing
  • Phased rollout and training, with audit-ready evidence of supervision and rules enforcement

Enterprise deployments: the flat-fee bands above are tuned for solo, small, and mid-size litigation teams. Larger firms with multiple repositories or carrier-driven audit requirements are scoped as custom enterprise projects after an architecture and governance review.

Claude for Legal, Assisted Installation
  • Assisted installation of Claude for Legal desktop workspaces
  • Governance playbooks, CourtListener guardrails, and supervised onboarding
  • Shadow AI inventory, AI use policy, and training

Rollout is phased. Phase 1: governance design, workflow mapping, and Claude configuration with conservative guardrails. Phase 2: expanded adoption, training, and audit-ready documentation of supervision.
